Shorten.ws is absolutely against Spam and actively fights to keep our service free of Spam. If you have been Spammed by someone who has used our service to link to their website (otherwise known as 'spamvertising' the short URL they have received from Shorten.ws) you should know we did not send this Spam to you.
When we say we "actively fight Spam" we are not just saying that. Shorten.ws systems are setup to automatically handle any Spam abuse complaints through popular Spam reporting services such as SpamCop.net
When an abuse report is received, the offending short URL is deleted within minutes, as well as any statistics this user has recorded for their short URL. The users IP address and email (if we have it) are stored so that this data can be handed over to authorities should they require it.
